INGO - International Organisation 


The European Committee for Specialized Action for Children and Families in their Living Environment is an International Non-Governmental Organization, founded in 1988 following the national meetings of the National Forum for Educational Action in Open Environments. 

 For over 35 years, EUROCEF has been actively contributing to discussions and work related to education and social action in Europe. The organization is committed to defending and promoting the fundamental rights of children and families, while bringing its international expertise to national and European political bodies.

OUR MAIN ACTIONS

 COUNCIL OF EUROPE

EUROCEF  intervenes at the Council of Europe, as an expert and representative of civil society. He is an active member of the Conference of INGOs and holds participatory status in this capacity.

 EUROPEAN PROJECT

EUROCEF is engaged in the implementation of various European projects related to children's rights, family rights, and the protection of Human Rights. He chairs or participates in working committees of the CINGO.

 COLLECTIVE COMPLAINS

EUROCEF writes collective complaints aimed at denouncing the non-compliance of a state's law or its non-application, in order to improve the protection and living conditions of civil society.

  EVENTS

EUROCEF organizes festive events to reflect, debate, and raise awareness among social work professionals, the individuals being supported, and the general public on topics that address current concerns.


 RESEARCH - ACTION

EUROCEF participates in various scientific research with universities. He also organizes training sessions to share his expertise and evolve professional practices.

Study on the situation of INGOs in Europe 2024-2025

 The role and impact of civil society in social work, participatory democracy in Europe

Webinar - To mark World NGO Day, the Conference of INGOs will hold a hybrid interactive webinar on 27 February, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. CET, online and in room Agora G04 at the Council of Europe. Gaps in Child Protection in Europe

Over the years, the Union has made progress in child protection, but according to a report from the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), serious gaps remain. Put an end to the collective expulsions of foreign individuals 

The Migration Commission, meeting on March 11, 2025, in Paris, expressed its concern over the growing divergence between international law and the practices of member states regarding collective expulsions of foreign individuals, reminding that such expulsions are "formally prohibited under Article 4 of Protocol No. 4 of the European Convention on Human Rights."(...). - Click here​​​​​​
